Onsite Injury Prevention & Management

Early intervention ensures better outcomes.

Workplace injuries can have a devastating effect on people’s lives, and the culture of a workplace.

To help your organisation reduce the costs of workplace injury,  Active Health Partners’ provides a range of corporate health services, delivered onsite at your place of business by experienced Occupational Health Clinicians.

What’s involved?

  • AHP’s Onsite Injury Prevention & Management Services are provided by experienced Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors, skilled in the diagnosis, management, rehabilitation and prevention of work-related injuries.

  • Having a clinician onsite removes the barriers for accessing professional healthcare, allowing injuries to be triaged and managed appropriately, and risks mitigation strategies to be implemented in a timely manner.

  • Ideally, an onsite program utilises a designated room within the workplace, set up with the basic clinical facilities for diagnosing and treating injuries and overseeing rehabilitative or preventative exercise.

  • An onsite clinician does not simply treat injuries but becomes an invaluable part of your team, working closely with people at all levels of your organisation to create a safer workplace and a healthier workforce.

Benefits:

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks

  • Manage injured workers onsite

  • Immediate access to range of allied health services

  • Facilitate faster, more sustainable return to work outcomes

  • Improve injury management communication

  • Clearer assessments of capacity

  • Reduce lost time from external medical appointments

  • Nurture a positive safety culture

  • Support an ageing workforce

  • Reduce Workcover claims and LTIs

In addition to their clinical role, an onsite clinician can perform activities such as:

  • Toolbox training

  • Manual handling training

  • Manual handling risk assessment

  • Job Task Analysis

  • Job Dictionary creation

  • Workstation ergonomic assessment

  • Fit for duty assessment

  • Pre-employment screening

  • Health monitoring

  • Illicit substance screening

  • Nutrition and exercise plans

  • Supervised exercise classes

Who’s it for?

Onsite Injury Prevention and Management services suit any workplace, but are most effective in industries where manual tasks are performed, particularly if there are increased risk factors, such as an ageing workforce.

People working in less-manual roles may still be exposed to significant health risks, particularly if their work is sedentary, like driving a vehicle or undertaking long periods of computer-based work.  They benefit just as much from the range of services on offer.

No matter what kind of work your people do, offering onsite health services is a great way to support  their wellbeing, save them money and show them that they’re valued.
